Troy University is going Wireless Attention! Student Wi-fi access is now available. Wi-Fi hotspots are located in all Troy University academic buildings and Student Center. Students can sit inside the Student Center or outside the Campus Bookstore and still have access to the Internet. Troy University students can gain access to the wireless Internet by providing the same user ID and password that they use for their Troy email. All computers attempting to access the wireless Internet will be screened for minimum security precautions such as updated virus software. When attempting to connect to the campus wireless you will see the following screens when you click on your web browser. |
|
1. On this screen you will read, accept and download the policy key that will allow you to gain access each time you try to connect to the campus wireless (If you do not accept the policy key then you will be unable to connect to the campus wirless).
2. If you downloaded the policy key, then you will be asked to authenticate by putting in your Troy email ID and password. If you do not know your email ID, you can look it up through Trojan Web Epress. The password will be your 8 digit birthday unless you have changed it.
3. After you have logged in, you will see this message. This message states that you will only be able to connect to the Internet. Any other network resources will be unavailable. After you receive this message you can browse the Internet by typing an address in your web browser.
