Live Class on Tape (LCOT) students have access to all Troy University Library Resources.
More info (LCOT) courses offer students at their choice of locations. (LCOT) courses at Phenix City are delivered through live interactive classes and live class on tape. Interactive classes use multimedia technology in each site's electronic classroom link students and faculty throughout the system. Sites with electronic classrooms are Troy, Phenix City, Dothan and Montgomery. Classes are taught by an instructor from the host classroom. Students in distance classrooms see and talk with the instructor and other students at all sites through two-way audio and two-way video microwave transmission. (LCOT) courses are live classes taped for viewing at a later time and are intended as substitute for required class attendance. These tapes are mailed to the student soon after the class session is held, a service for which the student pays an additional fee. Students not registered specifically for the (LCOT) course are not eligible to receive these tapes. Campus-based faculty integrate the (LCOT) presentations with the curriculum, student activities and other course requirements. Unless otherwise stated, all Troy University Policies and Procedures apply to (LCOT) courses just as they do to resident courses. Orientation is conducted by the instructor, usually on the first class date. |
