1.
What is an official academic evaluation and where may I obtain one? top
An academic evaluation is an online description of an academic program and details a student's progress toward meeting the requirements of that program. Students may access their academic evaluations (sometimes referred to as an EVAL) on WebExpress. They may also request an evaluation from the departmental secretary, Records Department or Registrar. Official evaluations must be signed by the Registrar or official designee.

2.
What is my student ID number? top
Troy University randomly assigns student ID numbers to all students. This number is noted on all Registration Confirmation forms and other University documentation. Students should be familiar with their ID number as it will be used to perform many University functions.

3.
What is the difference between semester and terms? top
The Phenix City campus is scheduled on 16-week semesters. Several course delivery formats are used within the semester. The most common course schedule is an eight-week session labeled Session A (first 8 weeks) or Session B (second 8 weeks). All courses for the semester may be registered at the beginning of the semester or during the semester prior to the class start date. Weekend classes must be registered two weeks prior to the first meeting date.

Online distance learning classes are normally scheduled during 10-week terms. There are five 10-week terms in an academic year. Term classes must be registered independently for each term.

Students may register for both semester and term classes at the same time. Students receiving financial aid should notify the Financial Aid office when registering for a combination of semester and term classes.

4.
How may I drop a class? top
Most classes may be dropped via WebExpress before or during the drop/add period. Classes may be dropped in person at the Records Department (in Student Services) or with the departmental secretary. Students may also email or fax their request to drop classes. Telephone registration is never allowed. Partial refunds may apply. Dates for academic and financial penalties are posted in the class schedule.

5.
How can I order a transcript? top
Official transcripts are administered from the Troy Campus. Request for transcripts may be online at (link). Students may also request a transcript by writing to the following address:

6.
How do I withdraw from school? top
Withdrawing from all classes within a semester timeframe, whether term or semester classes, must be handled through the Records Department. Telephone withdrawal is never allowed. Partial refunds may apply. Dates for academic and financial penalties are posted in the class schedule.

7.
Why did I not receive my grades through the mail? top
Troy University does not mail grades through the postal service. All grades may be accessed via WebExpress. Unofficial transcripts may be requested from the Records Department.
