Projector

The projector is turned on by pressing the button marked “Power” on the remote. In A201 and A210 Press “Hide” on the remote if you do not want the output to be visible. To turn the projector off press the “Power” once. Some remotes require you to press the “power” button again to confirm shutdown. In room A106 the standby button is used to turn the projector on and off. Press only once.

 

Document Camera

1. Open the drawer on the left side of the lectern which houses the document camera.

2. Prepare the camera for use by first raising illumination lamp 1, then 2 and lastly raising the camera head. You must press the arm lock/release lever at the base of the arm and remove the lens cap.

3. The power button is located on the left side of the document table and should be left in the “on” position.

4. Place the document to be projected face up on the document table. See the Instruction Manual located in the pouch on top of the lectern for complete Operation Panel information.

5. Press the button labeled “camera” on the input select option of the document camera panel.

 

DVD

The computer in this room is equipped with a DVD drive. Insert the disc in the drive and click on the PowerDVD icon on the desktop. The navigation screen will appear as seen below. (You may also view DVD's through the Media Player).

This computer is also equipped with a USB port for flash drives. A USB extension has been provided for easy access and should be located on top of the lectern. Place your flash drive in the port and most drives will become available in about 30 seconds.

Software: All class computers are equipped with Microsoft Office Suite 2007 including PowerPoint. To start a PowerPoint presentation either double click on the file or go to the ‘start' menu and select programs and then the Microsoft Office folder. PowerPoint should be listed in this folder.

VCR

Press the Power button, insert tape and then press play. Press the “video” button on the projector remote. Rooms A201 and A210 require you to Press “S” on the remote and the projector will search for the correct source of input. When finished, select the correct source on input on the projector remote.

Projector

When turning off the projector press the power button once and you will see a message on the screen that the projector is shutting down. Rooms 134 requires that you press the power button twice. Do not unplug the projector to turn it off. The remote works best when the lights are dimmed or off.

1. Turn on the combo by pressing the power button on the remote or the power button on the combo.

2. Select either VCR or DVD from the combo remote.

3. Once you have inserted the media, press the play button on the remote

Document Camera

1. Prepare the camera for use by tilting the camera head up and then moving both arms of the Elmo up. When the camera is in the correct position continue to adjust the lamp to the desired position.

2. The document camera should be found in the on position. However, if needed move the power button on the back right to the on position

3. The mode button on the front panel of the Elmo should be switched to camera view. From the computer view this will be two clicks. To go back to the computer view, push the mode button once.

4. Place the document to be projected face up on the document table. Document view can be adjusted by using the instrument panel on the front of the Elmo.
  Computer

This computer is equipped with a floppy disk drive, DVD drive and a USB port for flash drives. The USB port is located at the bottom of the front of the computer. Open the door to the area and insert the flash drive at an angle. The drive will only fit one way.

Software: All class computers are equipped with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint. To start a PowerPoint presentation either double click on the file or go to the ‘start' menu and select programs and then the Microsoft Office folder. PowerPoint should be listed in this folder.
